A year-end review is a great way to pause and reflect on what actually happened.
I started doing year-end reviews about five years ago because my employer at the time was really big on them. My boss quoted the definition of insanity – doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results – and said we could apply the year-end questions to our personal lives too. So that’s just what I did.
Consider just a reflection – this is not an evaluation nor a goal setting exercise, however, I have found that reflection does make goal setting a lot easier.
There are hundreds of questions you can ask yourself, and you spend forever analyzing the happenings of one year. Over the years I’ve simplified it to 10 simple questions that give you a well-rounded perspective of your year.
